Sister Ayesha is pursuing her BSc in Psychology at the faculty of Education. She likes reading the Qur’an and is very active in promoting the MSA
Assalam alaikum. My name is Tehreem Khalid and I will be serving as the Dinner coordinator of MSA for the year of 2016-17. I am in my 4th year of BioSci. I am looking forward to planning some amazing events this year, Inshallah. Don’t forget to say Hi when you see me walking by or standing in a line at Tims.
Islam Awareness Week Coordinator,
Asalam-u-Alaykum my name is Naiha Wasi and I have been volunteering with different organizations for over five years. Being born and raised in Edmonton, I grew up with many non-Muslim friends who knew little to nothing about Islam. I took the role of Islam Awareness Week Coordinator because I want to advocate the message of Islam in a peaceful manner, and I want others to realize how we (Muslims) truly are and not how someone else may describe us. This role will allow me to share Islam with the students and peers at the University and beyond!
Brother’s Social Coordinator
My name is Luqman. I am the brother’s social coordinator for this term. Did you notice the first few sentences rhymed? The first thing you need to know about me is that I have a very strong passion for poetry which I developed while writing this bio. I also enjoy playing soccer and basketball but I don’t watch so don’t ask me about my favourite team. I study chemical engineering too but that’s just a ‘side thing’ though. If you catch me on roads make sure you holla at your man.
Social Justice Coordinator
Assalamu Alaikum! My name is Yousuf and I’ll be the Social Justice Coordinator with the MSA this year! Throughout the school year, you can find me helping out with various MSA events, waiting in line in SUB for some Subway or studying in an isolated corner of Cameron (engineering problems)... Feel free to approach me if you ever want to chat! 🙂
My name is Stas and I‘m a second-year student in the faculty of Arts. I am majoring in psychology and don’t worry, I can’t read your mind! I love helping people and understanding the human mentality. I speak 3 languages fluently like English, Russian, and Hebrew. Being in nature is defiantly one of my favourite things to do because I think being exposed to urban lifestyle too much makes one feel empty and sour. I have recently reverted to Islam and have never enjoyed life before like I do now 🙂
